How Donating Hair Leads to a Fiance

For a while now, I've been thinking of donating my hair. It's been super duper long and I remember my mom donated hers a couple years ago and I thought it would be cool to donate mine. I told my mom a few weeks ago that I wanted to do this and she kind of just brushed it off. Today, I asked our neighbor if she would cut it for me (someone who cuts hair, not just a random neighbor). My mom immediately said no. I was like "Mom, it's my hair, what's the big deal?" and you know what her response was? Something I totally wasn't expecting...She said "When I first donated my hair, your father proposed to me" I know she meant that to deter me, but it totally made me want to cut it more. Maybe I will finally have a boyfriend! Who knew all you needed to do to get a fiance was to donate your hair? I would've done it a while ago if I knew that's all I needed to do ;).
It's been a little discouraging lately seeing my roommates all going on dates and having boys get interested in them and I'm just sitting there like, yeah...Netflix is great....so is ice cream....and then people are like, hey if you're not dating anyone, you should go on a mission and I'm like, no. So don't worry people, I've finally donated my hair so if everything works out like my mom thinks, I should be dating someone shortly. It's funny that that was her reason for me not getting my haircut because she talks about how I need a boyfriend all the time and how she wants grand kids. She later tried to cover it up by saying she doesn't want me to have short hair for my wedding, but we all know she just isn't ready for what she really wants (a son-in-law and grand babies).
Well, anyways...here's a before and after picture of my haircut just in case you really wanted to see it. I cut ten inches off...it's shorter than I thought it would be but whatevs, it'll grow back.
